Join us on Sunday 6th July for the parish pilgrimage to Glenshane forest, where we will enjoy a beautiful ramble through the forest to the mass rock, where Fr Gates will celebrate Mass. Bring a picnic!
We will assemble at the Parish Centre at 10.30am and pool cars. We aim to leave most cars at the Ponderosa on the Glenshane pass, close to the start point of the walk, and drop people to the forest from there. The walk will require moderate fitness and is unfortunately not suitable for all abilities or for prams. A fit walker could do the walk in an hour each way so we will allow up to two hours each way for everyone. We estimate Mass should be starting by 1.30pm at the latest at the ‘Priests chair’.
Be prepared for the weather, bring suitable walking shoes for the forest floor, plenty of water, hopefully sunscreen(!) and perhaps something for midges. We look forward to seeing you for this wonderful experience which is part of the Parish Pastoral Council’s plan for Faith Development.
