Archdiocese of Armagh seeks Volunteer Safeguarding Facilitators

ARCHDIOCESE OF ARMAGH SEEKS VOLUNTEER SAFEGUARDING FACILITATORS

The Archdiocese of Armagh are currently gathering a team of volunteer Facilitators to implement their new training strategy throughout parishes and diocesan groups.

Facilitators will play an important role in conducting information sessions which will explain and educate people in all elements of safeguarding children, young people and/or vulnerable adults.  This will form part of the Church’s long term strategic vision to ensure the safety and well being of all.

Celebrations to commemorate the nintieth anniversary of the Beatification of St. Oliver Plunkett  will be held on 4th July 2010.  The parish of St. Peter’s, Drogheda in conjunction with the Armagh Diocesan Youth Commission and the Knights ofColumbanus, is holding a special celebration in Drogheda on Sunday 4th July.

CASTLEWELLAN & NEWCASTLE

It’s going to be unreal!! Basically taking groups of young people from across the Diocese away for a day of fun, joy and faith! We’re heading to Castlewellan Forest Park for some games and a treasure hunt round the lake for everyone to get to know each other. We’ll then head on to the seaside town of Newcastle to have a bit of craic on the beach, get some ice-cream and finish off with a celebration of Mass. It will be a great day for young people to make new friends and discover different ways to explore their faith through games and reflections. It will definitely be AWESOME!!!
