4th NATIONAL GRANDPARENTS PILGRIMAGE


The 4th National Grandparents Pilgrimage will take place at the Shrine of Our Lady of Knock on Sunday, 12 September 2010.  For further information please visit the website www.catholicgrandparentsassociation.com. FOUR WEEK PROGRAMME ENTITLED
"DEVELOPING LITURGY"

The Diocesan Liturgy Group has organised a four week programme which is entitled “Developing Liturgy.”

It promises to be an excellent programme which will give people a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Sacred Liturgy. It will be of particular relevance to all who are actively involved in Church or Parish Life and especially members of Parish Liturgy Groups, Ministers of Word and Eucharist, those involved in developing Sacred Music in the parish, Sacristans etc.

                              Y.M.S.P. NATIONAL YOUTH MINISTRY CONFERENCE

youth20ministry20frameworkFollowing the success of the 2009 Youth Ministry Conference the Youth Ministry Studies Programme are holding another conference for 2010. The 2010 Youth Ministry Conference will take place in Marianella, Dublin on Saturday October 2nd 2010. Guest speakers on the day will be Tom East, Director of the Centre for Ministry Development USA and Danny Curtin, Vice-Chairperson of CYMFed England.

Those words, taken from the Gospel we have just heard, reminded me of one of the last events of Monsignor McEntegart’s life.  As some of you may know Mons McEntegart was Confessor and Spiritual Director to the Missionaries of Charity of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta in Armagh over the last few years.

The death took place late last night of Monsignor Liam McEntegart, PE,VG,  suddenly at his home in Dungannon, We deeply mourn the death of an outstanding pastor.

AN INDIAN REFLECTION

watermarkOn 1st July 2010 a group of twelve volunteers from the Armagh Diocesan Youth Council, in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity (NI), arrived in the city of Bangalore, India.  This was the latest in a series of projects between ADYC and HFHNI over recent years.  The volunteers ranged in ages from 19 -29 and were also accompanied by a priest of the Diocese, Fr. Paul Byrne.
