Exhibition on Pilgrimage

St Mary’s Grammar School, Magherafelt, hosted the Christian Pilgrimage Exhibition for the last two weeks of June.  Students attended in their class groups and explored the meaning of Christian Pilgrimage. They had time to explore some of the main Christian routes and destinations for Pilgrimage starting with the Holy Land often known as the Fifth Gospel.  The ancient sites include Calvary and the Holy Sepulchre.  Other pilgrimage journeys included the Pilgrimage to Rome and also to St James at Compostela.  Lourdes, Fatima and Knock. The pilgrimage to Lough Derg and also climbing Croagh Patrick and Slemish were of great interest to students.  Students found the experience stimulating and also inspiring for their own faith.  The questionnaire used by them is attached so you can see what was involved for them.

During March 2019, St Pius Xth College in Magherafelt March 21st welcomed the exhibition and feedback from students attending was very positive.
This week the exhibition is in St Mary’s College Dundalk for a FULL 9 DAY exhibition. So far teachers report good interest and feedback. They have developed a worksheet for students to complete and we are delighted at suggestions coming back from students and staff members.
